Schedule a Consultation

When it comes to choosing a therapist, it pays to be picky. I offer free 15-minute informational consultations to see if we’re a good fit. During the call, we’ll talk about what you’re looking to get out of therapy, I’ll share more about my approach and what working together might look like, and you’ll have a chance to ask questions. A consultation is not a contract: if I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy to refer you to other excellent therapists in the Bay Area. You can schedule an appointment here or at connect@libbyorrick.com

Please don’t include confidential or personal health details in emails or contact forms, as these platforms aren’t HIPAA-secure.

Disclaimer: A consultation call does not create a therapist–client relationship. That relationship begins only once we both agree to work together and complete intake paperwork.

FAQs

Where are you located?

My office is in the Cow Hollow neighborhood on Union Street. I also provide virtual therapy to clients throughout California.

Do you work with clients who aren’t pregnant or postpartum?

Yes. While fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum are a large part of my practice and areas in which I have specialized training, I also work with women navigating other significant transitions and periods of change.

That might mean a shift in identity or career, changes in a relationship, caring for aging parents, adjusting to a health diagnosis, or finding that the ways you have always managed anxiety, depression, or stress are no longer working as well as they once did.

You do not need to be pregnant, postpartum, or trying to conceive for us to work together.

Do you offer couples therapy? If so, how much will it cost?

Yes! If clinically appropriate, I can offer conjoint couples sessions for my individual clients, which are typically $325 for a 75-minute session. This can be helpful for pregnant and newly postpartum clients in particular. Sliding scale availability can be discussed during your consultation call. Conjoint couples sessions are offered in person at my Cow Hollow office or virtually.

What types of therapy do you offer?

When clinically appropriate, I offer:

  • In person sessions at my office in Cow Hollow

  • Virtual (throughout California)

  • Walk and Talk Therapy in the Presidio

  • EMDR (in person and virtual)

  • In-home sessions for newly postpartum families, depending on distance and availability

How much will individual therapy cost?

Individual sessions are $250 whether in-person, virtual, or via Walk and Talk therapy. I keep a few sliding-scale spots open. Please feel free to ask about availability during your consultation call. You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate prior to starting therapy.

Do you take insurance?

I’m not in-network with insurance, but I can give you a superbill (an itemized receipt) to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider directly.

What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

Walk and Talk Therapy combines the benefits of traditional talk therapy with walking outdoors in a natural setting. We’ll discuss if this option is clinically appropriate for your needs before beginning.

Do you offer EMDR intensives?

Yes, on a limited basis and when clinically appropriate. EMDR intensives can be especially helpful for processing a specific traumatic experience, such as birth trauma, pregnancy loss, medical trauma, or trauma related to fertility procedures. Sessions typically range from ninety minutes to three hours. If you'd like to learn more, schedule a consultation and we can talk through whether an intensive might be a good fit.
