Schedule a Consultation

When it comes to choosing a therapist, it pays to be picky. A strong predictor of success is the connection you build with your therapist; you want someone who truly “gets” you. I offer free 15-minute informational consultations to see if we’re a good fit. During the call, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, I’ll share more about my approach and what working together might look like, and you’ll have a chance to ask questions. If I’m not the right fit, I’m happy to refer you to other excellent therapists in the Bay Area.

You can also schedule a consultation by emailing me at connect@libbyorrick.com. Please don’t include confidential or personal health details in emails or contact forms, as these platforms aren’t HIPAA-secure.

Disclaimer: A consultation call does not create a therapist–client relationship. That relationship begins only once we both agree to work together and complete intake paperwork.

FAQs

Where are you located?

My office is in the Cow Hollow neighborhood on Union Street. I also provide virtual therapy to clients throughout California.

Do you take insurance?

I’m not in-network with insurance, but I can give you a superbill (an itemized receipt) to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider directly.

How much will individual therapy cost?

Individual sessions are $250 whether in-person, virtual, or via Walk and Talk therapy. I keep a few sliding-scale spots open—feel free to ask about availability during your consultation call. You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate prior to starting therapy.

Do you offer couples therapy? If so, how much will it cost?

Yes! Couples sessions are typically $325 for a 75-minute session. Sliding scale availability can be discussed during your consultation call. Couples therapy is offered in person at my Cow Hollow office or virtually.

What types of therapy do you offer?

When clinically appropriate, I offer:

  • In person sessions at my office in Cow Hollow

  • Virtual (throughout California)

  • Walk and Talk Therapy in Golden Gate Park and the Presidio

  • EMDR (in person and virtual)

  • In-home sessions for newly postpartum families

What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

Walk and Talk Therapy combines the benefits of traditional talk therapy with walking outdoors in a natural setting. We’ll discuss if this option is clinically appropriate for your needs before beginning.
