Support on your path into parenthood and beyond.

The journey into parenthood is rarely a straight line.

The journey to parenthood is a time of literal and figurative transformation on a physical, physiological, psychological, emotional, and interpersonal level. In many cases, our expectations of this journey do not match up with our experience. Even without difficulties getting pregnant, experiencing loss, birth trauma, or having difficulty breastfeeding, seismic changes are occurring in nearly every facet of your life. While this transition can be deeply exciting, it can also be overwhelming and bewildering. You deserve to feel safe, understood, and deeply supported as you navigate this new chapter in life.

Hi! I’m Libby.

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist offering in-person therapy in San Francisco and virtual therapy throughout California at Spark All Wellness. I use my fellowship training, my background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and my extensive perinatal mental health training to help individuals navigate the opportunities and challenges that come with family-building and working in the Bay Area.

I can help with:

  • Work/life balance

  • Infertility

  • Miscarriage

  • Birth Trauma

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Job stress and burnout

  • Fertility preservation

  • Self-esteem

  • Transitioning back to work

  • Guilt and shame

  • Perfectionism

  • Body image challenges

  • Relationship challenges

  • Healing from childhood trauma

  • Adjusting to new parenthood

Working with me

My primary goal as a therapist is to create a safe and supportive space with my clients to explore where they have been, where they are now, and where they would like to go. I help clients cultivate deeper self-awareness, find self-compassion for the things they feel shame around, and learn how to live in a way that aligns with their needs and values.

My approach is warm, authentic, supportive, and nonjudgmental. When working with clients, I like to blend humor, psychoeducation, skill-building, clinical insight, and a whole lot of validation.

A brief selection of my advanced training includes:

  • Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care training

  • Perinatal Mental Health Advanced Psychotherapy Training

  • Reproductive Trauma: Essential Tools for Infertility, Pregnancy Loss, Birth Trauma, and Perinatal Mental Health Disorders

  • The Fertility Counseling Postgraduate Course offered by Covington Therapy (current)

  • Resolve Through Sharing’s Perinatal Death Bereavement Training

  • The Matricentric Way course offered by Mama’s Modern Village

  • Women's Mental Health Specialist Certificate

  • Navigating Body Image Distress During the Perinatal Period
